PLANO exemplifies the latest evolution in Oblo’s award-winning line of multimedia digital photo kiosks, reaffirming its pioneering position in innovating the retail segment of digital photography.

PLANO offers brand new features, both hardware and software, specifically designed to improve the consumer experience while helping retailers expand their offering in the digital printing and multimedia market.

PLANO is a powerful and reliable kiosk based on two modules: a very slim integrated cabinet (less than 2,5” height!) and a separate 17” LCD touch-screen monitor with an adjustable monitor support. PLANO comes with an integrated built-in ticket printer with graphic software and can include also a built-in chip-card reader for pre-paid card payment.

PLANO with its revolutionary and compact architecture is perfect for creating multi-kiosk configurations in store.

Plano input and output options
PLANO can receive images from any source, including all commercially available digital camera memory cards and other digital inputs such as DVD, CD, USB flash memories, camera phones, iPodTM, digital minilabs and images via network, or from the Internet. PLANO can also accept video clips from digital cameras and camera phones.
PLANO can be connected to all digital minilabs, thermal and ink-jet printers for sending printing orders in both local and remote mode and can receive digitised images that can then be transferred onto DVD and CD.

PLANO is a powerful self-service station configured to offer retailers an extensive range of innovative and high quality services to their customers: prints, multimedia services and the high value-added specialty prints.

Photo books & mini-books
Automated creation of beautiful photo books, with an extensive array of different lay-outs and themes (e.g. classic, babies, holidays, etc.).
It takes just 15 minutes to create and deliver on-site beautiful photo books thanks to the really easy-to-use software interface of the kiosk and a complete set of dedicated tools and consumables from Oblò. In addition, book orders can be sent via Internet to a remote fulfilment centre. As a unique feature the photo book can also include a DVD combining the images with video clips, becoming a perfect gift for a memorable event.
The new pocket sized mini-book is perfect for camera phone snapshots.

YouonTV (Oblò Multimedia patent)
On the PLANO end-users can easily create a real DVD slide-show movie with their images and video clips from digital cameras or camera phones, with special image transitions and automatically synchronised music, to be enjoyed at home on TV. The disc also contains the archive of the original images and clips for future printing.

Video clips
One-step downloading of video clips from digital cameras and camera phones onto CDs and DVDs. The unique "Clip-to-Print" feature allows to convert the best movies into real prints in just 3 steps: video clip uploading at the kiosk, selecting and then enhancing the best frames.

Digital Prints and Biometric Passport Pictures
High quality digital prints in any size produced via a digital minilab, thermal printer or any other printer device in both local or remote mode. PLANO also offers the biometric passport picture system, compliant with the latest regulations.

Calendars
Beautiful and easy to make single and multi-page photo-calendars with a range of exclusive designs from a comprehensive library of different and varied themes.

Pop-trait & Collage Posters
Delight customers with Oblò portrait-posters featuring an automatic artistic “Warhol-effect”, which can also be printed on canvas. Gain important revenues from the “Collage” poster, a perfect showcase of your customers’ favourite moments.

Greeting cards
Automatic creation of original and thematic cards with the selected photo and personalised text. Complete library of exclusive themes.

YouonCD Music and YouonDVD Music
Archival service for recording images and video clips onto CDs or high capacity DVDs, for PC viewing. The service comprises a software viewer for an automatic PC slide-show of the images and video clips, with a selection of different music tracks.

Specialty & Gift products
A new exclusive system from Oblò to professionally create at retail a wide variety of gift and specialty items such as: puzzles, mouse-pads, calendars, packages, etc. The ideal complement for the minilab shop, to help retailers expand their profits and increase their customer’s loyalty.

PLANO features IMAGE MATIC the proprietary Oblò software for the automatic image enhancement and correction. This unique technology automatically and instantly optimises contrast, colour and density and removes red-eyes.

Part of the IMAGE MATIC is the new Oblò face detection technology FACE MATIC. This software, designed to automatically detect faces in photos, allows the quick and easy positioning of images within the templates of books or calendars, or to focus the DVD effects on a customer’s face.

PLANO POP material and consumables
A full range of accessories and consumables are available for the PLANO, these includes: ink-jet printable DVDs and CDs, customizable disc packaging, photo books original design covers, calendars supports, etc.
